We had a great time on Prairie Appreciation Day learning about birds of prey from Cara, crickets from Maggie, and prairie grasses and flowers from Larry. Larry even brought a 3000 year old buffalo skull that has been found on his farm! Then one afternoon we went out to Meet a Tree. We took notes about the bark and leaves, and then used our senses to describe what it was like. Finally we celebrated Favorite Sports Day and acted out our favorite sports.
We had a great time at River Bend Nature Center learning about tree identification and inherited animal traits. We also did a fun problem solving and team building Sci Fri activity where we tried to save a gummy worm named Fred!
